We stayed for ten days at the Grand Mercure Bangkok Asoke Residence. Everything we needed — including a room upgrade and late check-out — was arranged with a smile. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive throughout our stay. Our spacious and practical suite was cleaned spotlessly every day. We would like to sincerely thank the entire team and hope to return in the future.

Big apartment style room but you get nothing else

Stayed here recently and booked two rooms with as an Accor Plus Gold member. Pros: Rooms are apartment sized and include a kitchen, sitting area with sofa and TV, here is a second bathroom in the apartment, and a washing machine. The size of the room is a BIG plus as there is room to stretch out and even cook if you want to. Cons: Large canal immediately outside the hotel which is very smelly. The room decor is very dated and the lighting is inadequate. We can barely see without turning on all of the lights. The sofa is very uncomfortable and needs to be changed. The reception in the TV is very poor which makes it unwatchable as there is a great deal of static. The kitchen has barely any utensils and can't really be used to cook a whole meal. The breakfast was underwhelming and had very few selections - worst breakfast I have had in Thailand so far. Also for Accor status members - they didn't upgrade my room even though the hotel wasn't full, and they the don't provide much by the way of welcome drinks- the front desk shoved two cans of coke in my face when we asked about the "Welcome drink". The coke wasn't even chilled and there was no option of beer. The swimming pool had was constantly out pool towels, there was no shade and there was limited space to sit to watch the kids swim. This should NOT be labelled as a "GRAND" Mercure and should not be classed as 5 stars. At best should be a 3-4 star. Stay here is you want a bigger apartment style hotel at an affordable price but understand the you will get an old room with poor amenities. Accor needs to upgrade these facilities if they want to continue labelling it as a 5 star hotel.

Since many years our favourite place in Sukhumvit area. Even a little bit outdated, renovation is on the way, the hotel is still absolutely recommendable. Huge and clean appartments, very friendly staff and the location make this place special. Definitly we will come back.

Excellent hotel!!! The rooms are apartment style, big size, specious and very comfortable with all the needed amenities and with Balconies overlooking the skyline of Bangkok. It's located in a quiet Soi in the heart of bustling Bangkok-a quiet oasis in the big city. It's a big hotel with boutique feeling. On top of that and not less important, is the best possible service, given by the dedicated staff of the hotel-The amazing reception/front desk team, the great attentive breakfast team, that cater a fresh tasty breakfast , the helpful and kind bellboy team, the most possible clean and excellent housekeeping and maintenance team and all the great office team. And they all help each other to give the best possible service! All of them, under the top notch management of the “Maestro” - GM Khun Tony Thank you all for yet another perfect stay with you 🙏🙏
