We had a wonderful long weekend city escape stay for our wedding anniversary filled with many surprising touches including hand written card and prosecco in the room. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, with a special call out for James the concierge who went out of his way to help us with great restaurant tips and directions- it really made our anniversary truly special.

Stayed at this Hotel on Saturday May 24th - bizarrely a few days after my stay I noticed a charge of almost $300 on my Credit Card for 'Mini Bar'. I contacted the Hotel immediately who informed me that it was a mistake, and they would refund my money within 5-7 days! I was very unimpressed that it would take them that long considering it was my mistake. I followed up and got met with an excuse that in 2025 would not pass the pub test - they said they would try and expedite it! Well fast forward to today, it will be 14 days tomorrow no refund, no follow up, no apology and say they are 5 Stars!

Very impressed with the tone and service of the staff. Very helpful, low-key and available. The king room I had was very comfortable and the bed was superb. Very close to all things Sydney City. Excellent. One thing though, drinks prices are extraordinary. Racks up quickly…

We chose the Sofitel due to the convient location for shopping. Although we only stayed one night but we loved the whole ambience of the hotel and also our connecting rooms. The Sofitel is a minutes walk away from Circular Quay, connecting ferries, trains, trams and buses to all areas of Sydney. It was a perfect arrangement for our family, as we had our granddaughter and daughter with us. We managed to book a suite with a connecting superior room which worked wonderfully for all of us. As Diamond members we had access into the club lounge which was ideal for enjoying drinks, canapés and afternoon tea. However, our granddaughter wasn't allowed in after 5pm due to the hotels policy. Our rooms were spacious, modern and warm creating a lovely cosy atmosphere. The bathrooms were well-appointed and large especially in the suite. We definitely plan to return and hopefully enjoy a few more nights here, and try out their restaurants too. Overall, ideal location for a city stay, lovely modern rooms. The hotel exudes sophistication and warmth, making it very inviting. Parking is available next door.
