Stayed at the hotel whilst attending a sporting event. Certainly a good location in some respects , 10 minutes or so walking from the train station but possibly not the nicest of areas. Having said that rooms were clean and quiet and breakfast ( for additional charge) not too bad ( it’s a buffet and only choice of eggs - scrambled etc). Facility wise, the bar was pretty modest with no draught beer ( only bottles) but suggest you’d probably choose this rather than the other nearby establishments. Ease of location and reasonable price to stay means would probably stay again if visiting Sheffield.

I've stayed here a few times and it's always good value. Location is 10 mins walk from Train station and the same to the city centre. Only complaint I have is that I turned up a little early only to receive a filthy look from the receptionist who proceeded to ask my name and then tell me to come back at 3pm. As a Gold Accor member this was the first time I hadn't been allowed to check in a touch early (2pm). Anyway moan over, I'm staying again next week, let's see...

We stayed two nights at the Ibis Sheffield City. It was mostly a good experience. I wouldn't stay here if I was on my own as the area's not the nicest, especially at night. The room was clean, breakfast was decent (far smaller offering than in other Ibis hotels I've used, but it's not a massive hotel). Rooms were comfortable and fairly well soundproofed although some noise can be heard from corridors. The main issue was lack of air conditioning. They provide heating, plus a desk fan. Windows only open a crack and the hotel's located close to main roads and tramlines so you can't keep it open at night. The room was incredibly hot and uncomfortable most of the time. Shower/bathroom was decent, basic toiletries (handwash/shampoo/shower gel) provided in pump dispensers. Hair dryer was poor and cut out after about 30 seconds of use. No ironing facilities in the room, so brought our own. Service was good, check in was fast, key drop for check out. If I was visiting again, I'd book closer to city centre - it's just a ten minute walk to city/station, but not a particularly pleasant one - which has air con.

Toiletries are via a pump dispenser to enable us to remove single use plastic in accordance with our Green Key certification. The hairdryers are designed to work for a period of time and will cut out before over heating. The hotel does have ironing facilities available but not in individual guest rooms. A circa 5 minuti di cammino da stazione del treno e bus, ed altrettanto dal centro. Struttura accogliente, personale gentile, camera confortevole con Wi-Fi ben funzionante. La colazione discreta per dolci e salati. Bella scelta Ibis non tradisce.

Hotel com bom custo-beneficio, dentro do padrao Ibis na Inglaterra. Bons quartos, embora simples em termos de servicos adicionais (sem wifi, sem secador de cabelos), bom restaurante. A localizacao e conveniente para viajantes que chegam a Sheffiled de trem e o taxi e barato para outras partes da cidade ou a Universidade de Sheffield.
